So stop two on my “See Bali by moped” expedition was the Tengallalang rice terrace. We were raring to go after seeing the amazing Tengenungan Waterfall and set off on the little ped.
Now I must confess that we had a little Woo Hah trying to find the rice field. We were using the fabulous app called Map.me, with which you can download maps and use without internet and I had put in “Tengelanglang” instead of ”
We were using the fabulous app called Map.me, with which you can download maps and use without internet and I had put in “Tengelanglang” instead of “Tengellalang “. Who knew that there was two rice field in Bail so closely named? Well, certainly not me.
I must note this was on the way of spelling on the app as I know both spellings are used.
So we got lost, we got stressed out, we were running out of petrol and getting a little sunburnt and after an hour or so we realised the mistake and found our way to the correct rice field.
You know when you get to the correct rice field as it bustling with tourists and locals and finding a parking space for the med was a mission.
It cost 10,000 IDR to enter the rice terrace and you also have to pay a “donation” of 10,000IDR at different tiers going up.
I think we only spent about an hour looking around, but I must have taken 1000s of amazing photos in that hour as its a place to true beauty.
